BE THE ONE

One person with the courage to speak out allows countless others to be heard.

Greetings on behalf of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, The University of Kansas and the Big XII Conference on Black Student Government. My name is Paris Matthews and I am the chair of the Gospel Extravaganza for the 32nd Annual Big XII Conference on Black Student Government: “BE THE ONE, One person with the courage to speak out allows countless others to be heard”. This applies so much us in our daily lives as believers. The Lord commands us “go ye therefore and make disciples”, spread the Word so that others may cry out asking what must I do to be saved. The Lord also reassures us that when we spread the Word it shall never come back void. God is the ONE. We should BE THE ONE he has called us to be: A royal priesthood, a chosen generation, and a peculiar people.

I am truly excited about what God has in store for this conference and the gospel extravaganza. This is your cordial invitation to minister in this year’s gospel extravaganza. This conference will be held at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas February 26 – 28, 2008. The gospel extravaganza will be Friday, February 27th (8:30pm – 10:30pm.). This will be an opportunity for choirs, praise dance teams, mime teams or any other ministry God has gifted us with to minister to the conference participants and the Kansas community. Each ministry will be given 20 minutes, which is typically 2-3 selections to bless us with their gift.

If your group is interested in being apart of the Gospel Extravaganza, please register! The deadline for you to register your choir is February 6th, 2009.
