On behalf of the University of Kansas and the Asian American Student Union we would like to invite you to the Annual Midwest Asian American Student Union (MAASU) Spring Conference, March 28-30, 2008 at the University of Kansas in Lawrence Kansas.

The Midwest Asian American Student Union (MAASU) Spring Conference is designed to provide opportunity to discuss and share issues, strategies and programs that support Asian-American student organizations.  The program will provide students with networking opportunities, insights, and motivation to take back to their respective campuses. 

The theme of this conference is “Revolution in Motion”.  In order to have change we must come together for the betterment of all members in our communities, college campuses and beyond. The Midwest Asian American Student Union (MAASU) Spring Conference promises to offer its participants a wealth of knowledge and practical applications on issues that face Asian American students. The conference will offer the opportunity for Asian American Collegians and advisors to explore ways to assist each other through workshops, forums, and sharing of information.

Goal & Mission Statement “Revolution in Motion”
The goal of the conference will be to discuss and share issues, strategies and programs that support Asian-American student organizations.  The program will provide students with networking opportunities, insights, and motivation to take back to their respective campuses.  The conference will be a two-day format featuring an institute, workshops, and speakers addressing the issues facing Asian Pacific Islanders American (APIA) community.  Conference participants will have a chance to network and discuss what is happening on their campus and abroad.
