The Diversity Peer Education Team (DPET)
The Diversity Peer Education Team is a group of KU students who are passionate about educating others on diversity. We believe diversity is something that everyone encounters each day of their lives and we want to promote and raise awareness of these issues. Our presentations include activities to help illustrate certain aspects of diversity, and most importantly, we provide an open forum and a safe environment for students to express their opinions and learn from each other's experiences. The History of DPET
In 1996, concerned students contacted Multicultural Resource Center staff with concerns about racial tensions on campus. As a result, the Diversity Peer Education Team (DPET) was established. DPET's goal is to promote cultural awareness and appreciation among the University's community.
