Hawk Link Guides are undergraduate students who work through the Office
of Multicultural Affairs to assist new students and students of color with
their
academic transition to KU. The Guides work throughout the summer attending
orientation events and contacting incoming students to help make the transition
smoother. The Hawk Link Guides also act as mentors to their assigned Hawk
Link students and remain in contact with the students throughout the summer
and into the school year.
During orientation, the Hawk Link Guides sign students up for Hawk Link,
encourage students to register for the Hawk Link section of the PRE 101 Orientation
Seminar, are available during lunch/dinner sessions to answer questions,
and provide assistance during enrollment.
